Harvest Christian Academy exists to shepherd students to Think Biblically, Love Sacrificially, and Live Honorably for the glory of God.
Harvest Christian Academy – Opened Fall 2025
The Bible teaches the harvest principle, that the seeds you plant in life, or what you do now, will directly impact the kind of person you eventually become. We believe this is particularly true in the area of education. A child’s education will plant seeds that will radically impact the kind of person he or she will become. With this truth in mind, we have launched Harvest Christian Academy in Rensselaer for the 2025-2026 school year. Our vision is to create a school that is Biblically-Based, Christ-Centered, and Academically Excellent. If your family is interested in learning more about Christian education in our community, you’re in the right place! You can use this site to check out our latest updates and also view Frequently Asked Questions.
Biblical Foundation
- We will utilize academic instruction that recognizes that all truth and knowledge are rooted in God’s divinely inspired Word and that imparts a Biblical worldview to students so they see themselves, others, and their world through Christ’s eyes.
- We will view the Bible as a sufficient source of wisdom and understanding for us to know how to live our lives for the glory of God (2 Pet. 1:3, 1 Cor. 10:31).
Christ-Centered Community
- We will provide a relationally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and morally safe environment, led by board members, administrators, staff, and teachers who model Christ and serve as examples for students to develop Christ-centered lives.
- We will shepherd our students toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, in partnership with their families. We will be a relational school that seeks to know our students. We will lead with experience and knowledge and will actively seek to show love and kindness to our students as the Good Shepherd has shown us.
Academic Excellence
- We will be an accredited school that employs rigorous educational practices and methods to empower students to reach their full potential and prepare them for their educational and vocational future.
- We will challenge students to think critically and communicate effectively as they prepare for a lifetime of learning and service.

Who is HCA for?
Harvest Christian Academy is designed to partner with families and churches in the discipleship and education of children. We are committed to the Bible as the foundation of our school, not cultural trends, personal preferences, or worldly philosophies. Our hope is that Christian families who attend many of our local churches will recognize that our Statement of Faith includes them and their church so that HCA can become a school for any Christian family in our area.
