Head of School Welcome

Welcome to Harvest Christian Academy! We are grateful for your interest in learning more about HCA and excited to introduce a new Christian school to the Rensselaer community. Launching a new school is a thrilling endeavor, and we hope you will consider joining us on this journey.

I come to HCA with a deep appreciation for the transformative power of Christian education. I firmly believe, and have experienced, that a Christian education can profoundly shape a student’s life. My background in education includes both teaching and administration, most recently at Faith Christian School in Lafayette. To learn more about my vision and values, you can watch the video interview below. I would also be glad to grab a cup of coffee with you sometime to talk one-on-one about HCA.

Starting a new school is akin to blazing a trail, and this applies not only to our board and staff but also to our parents. In our inaugural year, we are thankful for an intrepid group of parents ready to help establish a foundation for a school that will impact generations of families in our community. For many of us, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I hope you’ll consider joining us on this exciting adventure!

Let’s Get Started,

Paul Breuninger

Teachers – The Living Curriculum

There are many important pieces to a successful school described on our website, but you’re in perhaps the most important place – our Staff page. We believe that teachers do much more than pass on information. Teachers embody the mission of a school and are a kind of living curriculum. They live out our mission every moment of the day.

This high value we place on our teachers comes out in our mission statement when we say that we “shepherd” students. Our teachers are not just instructors who share knowledge but shepherds who know our students, love our students, walk with our students, and yes, teach our students. If you’re interested in joining our staff, be sure to explore our Careers page.
